Pixie's Chronicle: Crazy Dreams

Oh man, this week has been so wild and crazy. I actually wasn't too sure if I was going to get this blog post written on time because I've been so busy these past couple of days. Last night, I was on the verge of tearing my hair out with all the stuff that I was having to do at the same time, including editing, running errands and talking to numerous people at the same time. So yeah, I have been a little bit on the stressed side, but I've still had a lot of fun with everything that's been happening this week.

As you can probably already tell from the title of this blog entry, I've been having a lot of crazy dreams this week, and I have no idea why. My dreams have always been weird, but it seems my brain is trying to challenge itself at the moment to see what's the weirdest dream that it can come up with. I didn't really think about how weird they were until I was talking to a friend about them, and she said that I definitely have the weirdest dreams that she's ever heard and that I should write a book on them.

I actually ended up taking her idea seriously. I've officially started writing a dream diary again. Dream diaries are something that I've done in the past, but I never really committed to them. But this time, I'm determined to log every single dream that I have so that I can look back on them and laugh. What better place to start than the weird dream phase I seem to be going through at the moment? Some of my dream antics this week include: giants taking over the world, surviving a nuclear apocolypse, visiting another planet where everyone was Japanese, visiting a pet store full of flying goldfish and giant crabs, getting a pet snake with the head of a cat, nearly getting sucked up by a tornado, and going on an egg hunt in a giant mansion.

Of course, those are just the clipnote versions. There are more detailed descriptions of what happened in my dream diary. I'm finding this whole thing hilarious. Dreams I think are one of the weirdest things humans experience, and I've always been an active dreamer. I've heard that a few people rarely, if ever, dream, and when they do, it's usually just mundane, typical run-of-the-mill stuff, and I feel really sorry for those people, because they're missing out on something hilarious. Maybe it's just my active imagination, I have no idea, but I was always famous among my friends for just how crazy my dreams could get. Those friends that also had weird dreams would often compete with me and we'd have fun trading funny and weird dreams.

My new dream diary

Maybe I might publish my dreams on FictionPress as a joke at some point, who knows. Maybe it will give you guys a chance to read them all in detail if you're interested. I know that writing down my dreams sometimes can help me with inspiration with stories. After all, Mary Shelly got the inspiration for Frankenstein from a dream. Maybe a huge hit is locked away in my brain somewhere. If it is, could it kindly make itself known to me? I wanna be a writer, damn it.

Apart from having weird dreams, this week has mainly been another planning week in terms of writing. I've really been trying to figure out some sort of schedule that fits in with my new routine so that I can pick the best times to get some writing done. It's been a struggle, but I think I might have finally figured something out. At the moment, I'm hoping to update Madness Within every Friday, and update Chat Vert every Monday. This should also allow me some time to plan out my up coming stories that have been a little on the neglected side at the moment.

Before I'd figured out this schedule, I had hoped to get this latest chapter of Madness Within out by Wednesday, but of course, that didn't go to plan. Over the weekend, I was busy with it being my birthday, which was awesome, apart from a lot of people in my family being assholes, but that's nothing new. I think I'm almost immune to it at this point. I have my mum and my brother and that's all that matters. I got some pretty awesome presents, with my best friend giving me a Chinese noodle bowl, a cute plant, and some blue goldstone (my favourite). I got a new phone off my mum and brother which I believe I mentioned last week. My boyfriend got me the cutest Plagg plushie which is what I posted on Twitter. It's so cute! I may or may not sleep with him. The plushie that is. Though I do also sleep with my boyfriend.

Rude and silly jokes aside, a present that I can share with you guys though, is the gift that my dear friend LycoRogue gave to me. She wrote me the most amazing one-shot, I Was Thinking Of You.
"Girls' Day derails when Marinette realizes the male lead of a romance movie reminds her of someone other than Adrien."
Naturally, I was screaming like an idiot when I saw this appear in my email alerts. As you all know, I'm a huge fan of LycoRogue and her writing, so to see that she had made a story dedicated to me for my birthday was absolutely amazing! So if you love Lukanette, then I highly recommend that you give it a read and support LycoRogue by leaving her a review. She really is a lovely person and such a talented writer. You can also read her writing process for the one-shot in her latest blog entry by clicking here. So please show her some love.

One thing that the one-shot definitely helped me with, was inspiration for Chat Vert. It was partly LycoRogue's aim that her story might help with the slight writer's block that I've been having with that story. I mean, I know where that story is going and how it's going to end, it's just writing it and making the chapters come alive that's the main problem, especially after being away from it for so long. But luckily, the one-shot seems to have got those rusty cogs turning again. It's just so hard to find any decent Lukanette stories, so I'm glad that I now have that one-shot which I can use whenever I need to reignite my passion for Chat Vert

Monday I managed to get my Fanfiction Writing Advice blog entry out, which a lot of you seemed to enjoy and find really helpful, which is great! I'm so glad that you found my advice useful. Trying to organise that post was a nightmare though. I had no idea how I was going to set everything out, but luckily I seemed to find a layout that worked pretty well.

Tuesday was certainly a day of strange incidents as I accidentally came across somebody's secret porn DVD while I was at work. While sorting through some chick-flicks, I opened one to check and make sure the disc was okay, when the actual DVD fell out, revealing the graphic stuff that had been hidden behind it. I showed it to my co-worker just to make sure that I wasn't seeing things, and sure enough, it was a porno. I won't go into too much detail to spare you guys, but it was some pretty hardcore stuff. Needless to say we both quickly threw it away and ran to the bathroom to wash our hands. If only we could have washed our eyes as well. So yeah that was harrowing. My boss got a good laugh out of it though. Some things just cannot be unseen...

After that traumatizing incident, I actually spent that evening relaxing as I'm still trying to find a new town on Animal Crossing: New Leaf. But so far I'm not having much luck. The type of map that I like just refuses to spawn at the moment. Which is weird since I usually have no problem. That and my favourite fruit is apples, so I like to see if I can try and get them. I'll settle for peaches, but I'm not particularly fond of pears and cherries. I used to not mind oranges, but I think the perfect ones look weird, so I tend to try and avoid having the orange as my town fruit. I'm picky, I know.

Wednesday was definitely a writing day, and I did manage to get some done on top of some other work. I had hoped to get a head start and finish the latest Madness Within chapter by yesterday so that I wouldn't be as stressed today. However, I got distracted by some other important stuff. I offered to see if I could try and hunt down this one and only photo of my cousin for my aunt, since that was the only picture that was taken of her before she sadly died. Hers had gone missing, so I offered to give her the copy that I had. It took some digging, including having to look at a lot of hilarious and embarrassing photos of myself as a kid, but I managed to find it for her.

After all that, I figured there was no way I was getting the chapter finished, so I thought that I would edit chapter 16 of Madness Within, ready to post on AO3, and also try and make a good start on this blog entry. Editing seemed to take forever though as I kept getting distracted. TLOS21 has now got me addicted to Pinterest, which I have now finally made an account for. I can't stop saving pictures! Help me! But you can follow me on there if you want. My username is TaurusPixie, or you can click here for quick access. I do have a lot of Miraculous Ladybug and writing stuff on there. I'll gladly follow you back as I need some people to follow as well.

But today I did finally finish chapter 30 of Madness Within, which you can read by clicking here. I ended up having to split the chapter in half as it ended up going on way longer than I thought it would. On the plus side, this does allow me to add in more detail to what would have been the second half, which is great as it's a really important chapter.

There will hopefully finally be a new chapter of Chat Vert on Monday if my new scheduling system works out well. Once again thank you to LycoRogue for helping me to be inspired again. I am hoping to try and work harder on that story to get it complete so that I can move onto other projects. I'm also hoping to get the one-shot I made for ChibiRinni out by next week as well. I've really fallen behind on that one. But I feel like I'm starting to get my bearings a bit more now.

I'm once again posting on AO3 again after forgetting to start doing it again last week. This also means that polished chapters of Madness Within and Destiny's Dance will be uploaded onto FanFiction as well, thank goodness. The amont of typos that I miss sometimes when editing is really embarrassing.

I hope you guys have been having a good week, and I'll see you again soon.

Pixie out.
